MathsYou will be encouraged to use concrete objects and pictorial representations to learn new concepts. This is helpful before you move onto abstract symbols (e.g. +, =, -). This is called the CPA method (concrete-picture-abstract).

ReadingWe use the Pause-Prompt-Praise strategy when providing reinforced reading support. We remind students to break apart and blend words to crack the alphabetic code. We DO NOT ask our children to 'look at the picture' or wait for the word to 'pop' into their head - this is not reading, this is guessing!
